Temporary detour for people going by foot and bike in the Seattle, Pioneer Square Neighborhood.

Beginning at 7 a.m., Monday, April 18 through 7 p.m., Friday, April 22, the crosswalk that connects both sides of the Alaskan Way S. mixed use trail at S. King Street will be closed to foot and bicycle traffic. This is part of the Alaskan Way Viaduct and Seawall Replacement Program.

Northbound and southbound cyclists and pedestrians will be detoured around the crosswalk closure. They will be routed onto the S. King Street sidewalk to the crosswalk at First Avenue S. and back down the sidewalk on the opposite side of S. King Street, returning to the mixed use trail.

Crews need to close the intersection to install a new traffic signal. More information can be found here: bicycle and pedestrian route changes
