GROUP WALKS

Feet Firsts hosts various types of group walks with the goal of promoting walking, raising awareness of pedestrian issues, and connecting community members with each other and their city leaders to create change in their own neighborhoods.

Walking Meetings

Interested in taking a walk to discover new paths, experience places on foot, and meet new friends? Come join our Walking Meetings, led by Feet First’s trained Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors. To find a walk upcoming near you, visit the Feet First Walks Meetup page. Clicking the “Take a Walk” link at the top of our website will also take you to the Meetup page. Walking together is a healthy, sustainable, and fun form of transportation and recreation that provides a better understanding of our surrounding built environments. You will see a lot more at 3mph compared to 30mph!

Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors are integral to our Walking Meetings. Contact us if you’re interested in becoming a walking ambassador for your community.

Walks and Talks

We believe in the power of civic engagement in affecting positive change. Feet First’s Walk and Talks are opportunities to connect community members and city leaders on walks tailored to a specific public or private project. Our Walk and Talks have taken us through the region exploring projects ranging from land-use changes, new transit, low-income, and market housing development, regional trails, to school and business districts.
