Feet First Conversation with Angie Schmitt
October 17, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Washington faces a pedestrian safety crisis. The number of people killed walking on our state’s streets has spiked 40% in the last 5 years. Residents of color, seniors, and those living in poverty make up a disproportionate number of those killed.
Join Feet First for a conversation with Angie Schmitt, a leading voice for safe streets and author of an upcoming book on the pedestrian safety crisis in the US. Together with Anna Zivarts of Rooted in Rights, we will dive into the causes of the crisis, how cities across the country are addressing it, and how you can get involved with our organizations to make a more walkable and rollable Washington.
The event will also be recorded for later viewing.
Directions to the event are below.
Food and drink will be available for purchase. Please RSVP at the ticket link below!
