Meet the Artists for Roosevelt Link Light Rail Station
The artists will discuss their previous work and how they will prepare for creating public art at the Roosevelt station site. Artists Buvoli and R & R Studios were commissioned through a national call-to-artists to create public art for Sound Transit's future Link light rail station in the Roosevelt neighborhood.
Meet the artists
Luca Buvoli combines his training in science with his explorations in sculpture. He recently installed a large suspended sculpture at Houston's Hobby Airport and exhibited at the 52nd Venice Biennale. He will create artwork for the Roosevelt Station interior.
R & R Studios, the team of Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt, will focus on the street level experience at Roosevelt Station. R & R Studios have been called 'Architects of Hope' for creating backdrops for the theater of everyday life.
