Landscaping Salvage Event
Looking for small shrubs and landscaping materials for your property? As part of a commitment to sustainability, Sound Transit will be hosting a plant and landscaping materials salvage event in advance of building demolition at the sites of the future Brooklyn and Roosevelt light rail stations.
Plants and landscaping materials will be available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. You must bring your own tools such as shovels, pots and gloves, for removing and transporting the items.
Brooklyn Station site: Meet in the parking lot of the Chase Bank building, 4300 Brooklyn Avenue NE. Plants available include Barberry, Nandina and Boxwood.
Roosevelt Station site: Meet at 1033A NE 66th Street, across from the QFC parking lot. Plants and landscaping materials available include Yew, Bamboo, Juniper, pavers, retaining wall systems and decorative concrete edging.
Sound Transit staff will be on hand to coordinate the event.
